Sky+

Can anyone tell me what is the cheapest package you can get that includes the Sky+ subsciption (ie not paying £10 P/M to rent it)?

You have to subscribe to either the Movies package or the Sports package as their criteria is that you must have either Movies 1 and 2 or Sports 1 and 2.
The third option is a mix of both( which we have) Movies 1,3,5,7and 9 and sports 1 and 3. Keeps the family happy and costs £36. I believe that the movie pack and the sports pack on their own are also £36. Though I stand to be corrected.

Do you get the disney channel with the mix pack? I'd like sports 1 and 3, but not too fussed!

No Disney Channels on the mix pack I have. Kids don't miss it at all.
You need the pack with all the movie channels.
  • The cheapest package to can get to avoid the charge for Sky+ is £28. This allows you one Premium Channel and two entertainment mixes.

With Sky Sports 1 you get 3 as a bonus.

I'm thinking about getting my Dad a Sky+ box for his birthday as he keeps moaning that me and my brother have it and he hasn't! He has the cheapest package for Sky, does that mean he'd have to upgrade to movies or sport to get Sky+?

He's most upset that new subscribers get better deals than existing customers!

Can someone tell me if I buy a standard HHD recorder whether it can record from Sky? I don't care about watching different channels. Cheers
  • If you have not subscribed to a Premium Channel, SKy will charge £10 a month for using Sky Plus.
