Wouldn't buy this for my 360, thought they were crazy when i saw the price ! It should have it built in like the PS3 does. Same as other things that my 360 set me back like rechargeable controllers, PS3 its free and built into the controllers, and with online subscription, PS3 it's free, 360 you have to pay for online play. HD films, another £110 extra for the external HD dvd drive! Another thing thats built into the PS3 with blu ray. I like my 360 but things like that are a little annoying.0

Do you mean to say the 360 has not got wifi built in? I am stunned!! Never owned one but thought it would have done considering the Wii does!!0

Oh gawd, please don't turn this into my "xxx" console is better than the 360.
I just wanted to help those 360 owners who wanted one of the proprietary wifi connectors but didn't like the price until now!!:beer:0 -

ok, could someone clarify something for me please. I have bought the xbox 360 for hubby for xmas - do I need to buy anything else or can he plug the box into the router we have (which is stuck in the corner of the living room and there is room for the xbox to sit by the side of it)? as I'm getting a bit worried now that come xmas day he'll be stuck with something he can't use. Thanks.x0

if the xbox is going to be next to the router then you can just use the cable to connect the xbox to the router. this wireless adapter is for people who's xbox is upstairs and the router is downstairs for example.0 -
Depending what Xbox you've purchased, there should be a cable with it that you can just plug into the back of the xbox and then the back of the router and away you go

my router is across the room from where the xbox will be, hence the wireless thingimy. Don;t fancy laying a thick cable round the room!"a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0

Same here, currently have a 20m cable running around the back of the room from xbox to router!
(and no, I still don't want an extra router, meaning extra box, cable, let alone an extra socket to find!)0
