Refused Graduate Loan - Should I re-apply?
Hello there,
I have recently graduated but have been self-employed throughout my three years at university and for a number of years prior to starting my course.
Since graduation, I have continued to undertake the same work but unfortunately am not getting enough for it to be classed as full-time. On average I work around 20 hours per week.
I applied to R.B.S. for a graduate loan, whom I have banked with since June and who have to date, been very helpful. The amount was £11,000 over 7 years but unfortunately my application was declined, which I suspect was due to me being self-employed and not working full-time.
I also hold an account with H.S.B.C. and have done so for many years but do not do my main banking with them.
Is it worth applying to H.S.B.C.? My equifax score is very good. Also is there a minimum income threshold, upon which applications are based?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
