next shoes complete waste of money!!!

HI. Msers just wanted some quick advice about a pair of shoes l brought for my 3 yr old dd. thing is l have no reciept and although it was 2 months ago when l purchased them, they do look pretty rough. You know what kids are like but these shoes look like she`s been wearing them for years. l would expect better quality from Next!!! the velcro strapping wont close properly and every time she runs around in them they literally come off her feet. she even had a nasty accident once grazzing her chin really bad.
thinking of returning them but what are my chances?
dont wanna make a scene or them make an issue about them being too old. Even thoughl feel for 2 months for shoes is not old...they should atleast last the whole season...
:T LLB HONS :T
im well chuffed...........

  • Hi

I had a similar situation with Next when I bought a pair of boots - I tried on one size which was snug and then tried on the bigger size which was bit loose. The assistant told me to go for the smaller size as they do stretch. AFter wearing for a month or so, my feet were just getting ripped to shreds and they weren't stretching.

So I researched and found the name and address of the CEO of next and wrote to him complaining but also saying it wouldn't put me off shopping at NEXT as I do like their stuff but wanted a replacement.

They were brilliant, arranged a replacement and sent me a £20 voucher as well.

so even though your kid has worn them I would definitely write to the CEO rather than just going back to the shop.

I think Next will be fine with you returning them, they are usually pretty good with returns. They will likely put the money onto a refund card seeing as you don't have a receipt and you could use that to buy something else. (Note the refund will be at the current price, not the price you bought them at) Doubt you will get hard cash back though.

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.
