Hi, I'd like to buy a very cheap ps2 for me to play when OH is at work, (a bit of an addict for tomb raiders!! sad i know!)

Our boys already have one each and wont let me borrow theirs as I will be on it all the time! So does anyone know where I could get one from, doesnt matter if its not new, as long as it works i guess

If you're not fussed about it being used try looking on eBay, I guess the old shape one will go for less, or maybe check out the Loot??? Not sure if Game or Gamestation sell old one's in their stores but could be worth investigating???

You could also try Cash convertors or cash generator shops as they may have some cheap ones in their but it depends on the condition of how well it has been looked after

Be warned the noise difference between the old and new PS2 is quite a margin, the new PS2 is whisper quiet!

That's true, but I think the OP wants one that's as cheap as possible, which does mean the older version of the PS2, but i don't notice the difference too much.

Thanks for your replies. Yea, I dont mind if its the old type as its only for me to pass the time with. Maybe I should just get a life like other adults lol.

I suggest you wait a while, when the ps3 comes in the market will be flooded with ps2 you will get one for a song!

Depends when the PS3 comes out as there are reports of anything between summer to December 2006 for it's release
