I was wondering where the 'delivery to store' option had gone and got this response from them:

Hi, thank you for your message. At present, we are only offering delivery to home addresses and the store collection is not available. Unfortunately I do not have any further information on when this might return and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. Kind Regards, **** *****, Customer Service Advisor. 0

I've used this when I order from them so sorry to hear the option has gone.
Mind you, reading the paper yesterday, it looks like Woolworths might be gone before long - not just the store delivery service.0 -
Will be looking out for a good sale from Woolies if they go bust.0

Im not surprised there online store is useless, last year i order lost of things on there for xmas only to be told weeks later they were not available, i know they dont take the money until there dispatched but i had to do some last minute shopping to replace the items .... Now i will never order online with them again!:hello:"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing it doesn't go in a fruit salad

couldnt happen to a nice firm.. have never seen the local branch busy, at all- even on Saturdays.. perhaps if they turned down the VERY bright lighting instore, they could have saved a few quid - especially if done over the whole country..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

I doubt that would have saved them the £380 they are in debt, personally i`m more concerned for the 30,000 staff that could be faced with losing their jobs, wont be a very merry christmas for them will it?0 -
I would be sorry to see them go (partly because I had a Saturday job there many years ago)...I personally don't think they should have gone the route of the 'catalogue' type of shop, but I suppose they are the ultimate average 'high street retailer' and the high street has been dying for a while now...Jun GC £250.00/£12.40 NSD 3 / 30

The worst thing ours did was to turn it into a Kids store which straight away alienated a lot of customers who didnt have kids or whose were grown up.0

I don't know if this was just a glitch, but their site didn't seem to list ANY toys this morning. I noticed they were sold out of a lot of the things I wanted a week or two ago, so maybe they just won't be restocking because the worst is about to happen?
I don't take any perverse pleasure in this at all, by the way. I've worked for 3 companies in the last 10 years which I have either been made redundant from, or would have been if I'd stayed - so I do know how awful it must be for the staff.0
