I'm not a London boy, but on NYE I was in a shopping centre called Fulham Broadway which is near the Chelsea ground. This has a Vue cinema and is taking part in the promo (at least for some of the films, eg Harry Potter). Hope this helps.
  • Hi SooTee
I live in Lynn as well. I was hoping they might have the Majestic in the list of independents or Vue cinema in Norwich .

  • Looks like a great offer - we've got a really good independent cinema in Glasgow who is participating in the offer, so hubby and I are going to try and fit in plenty of films soon!!
  • Hi
My nearest independent cinema is the Playhouse in Perth Scotland.

For newly released big films eg Harry P, the cinema will state that the film is "Free List Suspended" for the first week or two.

This means they will not take any vouchers or offers during that time.

The free list works again once the film moves out of the number 1 (ie big) screen into one of the other screens.

Other independents may be the same.
Still for the sake of a week or two and seeing the film on a smaller screen it is till a good deal.
  • Thanks to OP. I work near the independent Glasgow cinema so will go for that option.

I also have an Orange phone and use the Orange Wednesday offer if there's something I particularly want to see, but will wait and see if the vouchers for independent cinemas are on 2-for-1 or not - worth a try.

    ;)

Looked good but no Vue vinema near me and locally listed cinema is an arts centre which only occasionally shows films.
  • I've never ever heard of Vue Cinema and no wonder since there are only 5 in the whole of Scotland.

That's pretty typical of promotions like these as they choose outlets that provide the fewest locations so they don't have to cough up much. Well those of you who live near any of these participating venues, bleed them dry and teach them a lesson.
  • Vue cinemas used to be called Warner Village cinemas, changed their name a few years ago. Although if there are only 5 in Scotland that may not help as you may not have heard of that name either!

Edit: come to think of it I went to the one in Inverness back when it was a Warner Village... :)
