clean smelling laundry?

Ok, so this is a bit embarassing, but even when clothes have come straight out of the washing machine they can have a slight smell of BO (mine more than OH's :shhh:) and it's really bringing me down and making me self consious etc. I have got some fabric conditioner with febreeze in it added to my shopping list but that is another week.
What can I do to stop this (already shower daily etc etc)

I know this may sound like nothing but it is really really upsetting me :(

thanks for any help you can offer

Use vinegar as a rinse aid, I know it sounds mad and the last thing you want it to smell like a chip shop but it really does work!! Trust me!!
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

If it's upsetting you then it's not nothing. Have you tried putting white vinegar in the wash? it is very good at getting rid of smells.

I have very smelly feet, and my trainers get very smelly. Someone told me it was the bacteria that causes the smell, so I now give them a squirt of odourless dettol and it takes away the smell. A drop in your washing machine might do the same.
  • Hiya,

I have this problem with my brothers stuff, and it's nothing to do with his cleanliness, sweat doesn't smell when it's fresh but after sitting in the laundry for a few days (or weeks in my brothers case) it starts to pong, so nothing to be worried about, we all sweat

I find putting in a small scoop of baking soda does the trick for most stuff or a big glug of white vinegar, but if they are really pongy a pre sock in white vinegar overnight and then the baking soda or vinegar in the wash sorts it out. :o

    Good luck
