Have had my first christmas cards through the post today..ack! Must remember to put them somewhere where I can find them later..lol
The kitchen took longer than we thought - just over 5 days. But it is all finished and looking lovely now. The only trouble is I have managed to twist my back and aggravate my ankle somehow so am taking things very very slowly now.
Now the kitchen is all finished I am just putting everything back, that was in the living room, although it is taking me a while. I didn't realise there was so much and that is after being really ruthless and throwing a load of stuff away.
I have a batch more christmas cards to write, pop to the post office and get my overseas stamps and then post the christmas cards. That will be one major job out the way.. I have also got most of the presents bought, just a few odds and ends to get :-)
Hoping that I can get on with the christmas cooking next week. We have our new fridge freezer being delivered tomorrow, which I am looking forward to stocking up. I may go and get the christmas freezer food later this week/early next week then it will all be done. Plus the fridge is bigger this time around so I can order a proper veg box of christmas veggies from Riverford when I place my next order. Am thinking of getting there meat box as well, so that I don't have to worry about the meat. Hmm thinking I might be a tad too organised food wise..lol.
Let's just hope that DH finishes the decorating and the new furniture arrives from Argos, for the living room. Then I can decorate with christmas deccies.. I've also got to deep clean the carpet in the living room before Christmas too as well as a major dusting.
Don't ask about the ironing or upstairs - I have kind of lost the plot with these two..lol
Ok has someone taken the old Natty away and transplanted a new one in her place..lol
So I am now going to claim today as a kitchen day as well - spare room can wait till after Christmas. And why doesn't my thanks button work properly, I can only do a few at once then I have to keep logging back in and do some more..

Oh I just have to tell you - DH has just rung me from work. He is on a course today and he has just been mooching around Canary Wharf and came across something for one of my christmas presents - some pastel pink and baby blue pegs!! So he bought them - he had to ring me as he thought it would make me chuckle!!!Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Apparently with regard to the meat abbatoirs being on strike and it leading up to a shortage of meat at Christmas it's not true that there will be a shortage of meat. The christmas meat has been in storage since September - one of DH's work colleagues used to be a Tesco's manager before he became a bank manager, so DH asked him and he said it was a load of twaddle. More like the media hyping things up as per usual. The only thing that there might be a shortage of is the fresh meat not the frozen stuff. But then you can't tell the british public to stop panic buying can you?Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
