Thanks for sharing your experience, this will inspire lots of people who are in the same situation as yourself, nobody likes to be in debt and it's ace when you can see light at the end of the tunnel. I bet the light began to shine when you told your OH, cos now you don't have to hide it away. Good luck in reducing your debt.

It sure was, I have had the happiest year for a long while, too long, because we work together doing everything now I would say that we are very much closer, I am certainly more relaxed, not having the constant fear of him finding out, it was hard at the time, but soon became a whole better life for us both.

My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner, the debt wouldn’t have been as high, but it’s done now and we need to focus on working hard to pay it off, but now it’s a lot easier.

Thanks for everyone’s replies, the support is tremendous on here, I just wish I could help everyone in debt and stop the suffering, unfortunately like me it’s not a thing most people in debt talk about it.
