hi everybody,

i took out an unsecured loan with citifinancial 2 years ago for the sum of £12,013, i'm currently paying £318.62 a month for 60 months,i'm 2 years into the loan and have £9,226 left to pay according to the info on my credit report on creditexpert.co.uk, my question is this; i want to pay £100 extra a month to hopefully reduce the term of the loan so should i write to them explaining this? also am i in my rights asking them that with each extra payment i make [by cheque] for a receipt or some kind of documentation stating that i'm making the extra payments and something showing that they're coming off the outstanding balance, any advice would be great!

best regards

Luke

  • Hi Luke.

I have a loan with CitiFinancial.
Ive made a few overpayments in the last year.
My local branch is just down the road so ive just popped in with cash and they have given me a reciept straight away.
They have also given me a statement at my request showing every payment ive ever made.
Just give them a bell or pop in.
    Good luck
