Removing Ex partner from Mortgage and Deeds

Is this what I should do?
I think I need to apply to northern rock to have the mortgage solely in my name, I am hoping that me paying the mortgage for the past year on my own helps this along.
How do i remove his name from the deeds ? I have read online this is a seperate matter from the mrotgage company ?
Thanks.
You will effectively be getting a remortgage. this involves a legal process to remove your ex from the mortgage and - as the mortgage is a loan secured on the property - part of that process will deal with removing him from the deeds too. So .... once you get a new mortgage in your name only, he will be removed from the mortgage and the deeds as part of that process.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac
