Car hire travelling to the Republic

I'm looking to hire a car to spend a weekend in Galway.
Can anyone recommend a good company? I checked out Hertz and the deal seems pretty good - £64 for 3 days inc. CDW for a Ford Focus.
I have one question - do I need to tell them I will be driving over the border? Basically I'm worried that I won't be covered if I have an accident outside the country where I hired the car.

I would say you definitely need to tell them. There shouldn't be any problem, but they may charge extra.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0
