Some advice please re experian credit score and report

Hi All,

just looking for a bit of advice please on behalf of my sis! She paid to view her experian report today as she hasn't checked in ages and there were a few queries.
1/ A ccj she had (which is not 6 years old) is not there any more (obviously good news but would it be on any other cred ref agency?
2/ She paid extra for her cred score and it was 709 - but they say that it's 'poor'. I thought that would have been fairly good.
But then she does have one default which has been satisfied so that could be it but wouldn't it lower the score?

Many many thanks in advance
Lisa x

Credit Scoring is individual to each lender. Experian have their criteria by which they score you. Every individual lender will have their individual criteria too. I am pretty sure an Experian score of 720 gets you out of the poor category.

Your score can be affected by too many searches as this may appear that you are desperate for credit (although remember that your credit file can be searched when you use a price comparison site for insurance etc....) Too many searches will lower your score. This takes six months to fix itself.....
