Hi,
If you are talking about the Humax being £199 in Comet (through pricerunner) then I dont know what's happening because as of yesterday it has vanished from the Comet website - I've been waiting for it to be reduced for weeks.
They haven't started their New Year sale yet so I'm hoping that it has been moved to a new page ready for the sales?!

I doubt it will get reduced much yet as its a very popular and still new model0

Hi Poppycat,
Can you confirm if chase-play works or if there is a workaround on the Humax? This is the one big feature missing which I'm hoping will be fixed with an update.

Unfortunately it isnt support, there's a great FAQ in digispy forum which may help you, I supplied the link in previous page.
The reason I dont think the 9200 will come down much yet is because its also still in short supply. I got mine for £200 from Hughesdirect. The dual tuner is fantastically sueful and advert forward.0 -
Just had a look at that FAQ; the chase play workaround is a bit naff and not completely workable. This has got me thinking that the Topfield is the one for me but it's a good £50 more. Dont suppose anyone has seen this for less than £250?

Does this help? I got this link from madaboutbargains.co.uk (£192.99)

With the delivery charge it's still £199. This is the best price I've seen but fingers-crossed they will come down more this month!0

Poppycat - how are you getting on with the new firmware? There've been mixed reports and as mine has been fine, I haven't bothered to upgrade. Did you gain any benefit? There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.

TBH I didn't notice any difference. My main gripe with the 9200 and 8000 is that you have to pad out recording because programs over run by a few minutes almost every time I record.0
