A phone call saying congratulations you have won a holiday to florida:rolleyes: to hear more please press 9 .........thinking it was a scam i hung up has any one else had them and how do they get your land line number i never give mine out ?

I got it this afternoon although i shouldn't be receiving spam calls.......:mad:

I hope you didn't hit 9 just in case you get charged........

On a similar vein a friend recently got a text message telling him that a large parcel had arrived at the local Depot of a large parcel company ( some name was mentioned but I can't recall and it was not known to me ) He was asked to phone a number to arrange delivery. It was not a local number so I strongly suspect that this too was a scam. A neighbour had mentioned the possibility of such scams taking place and I had already warned him of the perils.

They have little to do ...i hate scammers i have little enough money without getting scammed out of what coppers i have .

i got a text like this last week, i posted it on "scams" it was a text from International parcel deliveries or something like that, and wot made me think it was a scam was it was an number starting +232, and i knew that was the old code for belfast years back, so i checked it on google, its serrie leone!! so its defo a scam, butr it wud be so easy to fall for this time of year, Crimbo prezzies getting delivered and all, so be careful!
