I Want To Work From Home?

I would really like to run my own business from home, but i dont have a trade to sell. I dont mind what it is, selling on ebay, packing things up etc i just dont want a door to door business, party planning etc .
I do have a little money I could put in to it to start it up and Im a hard worker so long hours dont frighten me. I just dont know where to start.
Does anyone have any ideas? Ive seen adverts in papers and have been ripped off by people in the past and I basically cant afford for that to happen again.
Many thanks
Emma

I make a handsome living from home by going round building sites and collecting pallets.
I then chop them up into bundles of kindling which I sell from my back door.
I also save the cardboard middle bits from toilet rolls as I intend to make an ocean-going yacht from them and sail it away to a new life in the South Pacific.
My mum thinks I'm sad.0 -

To get some ideas, you could visit one of the franchise exhibitions...

But, whatever you decide, the one thing you will certainly need is a "Business Plan" setting out your ideas, objectives and financial implications.
This site may help...

Also you can get help from your local Business Link.
Lastly (but certainly not least!), who do you want your customers to be?
Good luck!0 -
from other posts in the past home ironing is a good earner, just needs a few flyers to post in letterboxes and put in shop windowsEx forum ambassador

Wouldn't you be better off using the pallets for the yacht and selling the toilet roll bits?0 -
Any other GOOD ideas?
Thanks

You could try meals on wheels,
catering for childrens parties,
taking in a lodger,
making birthday cakes,
if your in a holiday town you could try b&b,
When I started selling on ebay I taught myself all about antiques and collectables. I would watch programmes like Bargain Hunt and Cash in the Attic and cross reference with the Millers Collectable guide. Then I would go round boot sales and charity shops buying stuff to sell for more money on ebay. When I first started I was making about £70 pw on there but I'm lucky now if I get £7 pw.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Would you not need a certifcate for food hygiene or food prep for your own kitchen from the local council. No idea how that much costs and also public liability insurance.
