A few years ago the fee was small or 50-100. Lenders currently seem to be able to charge what they like to release the deeds and I recently read that one lender was increasing their fee early in 2006 (sorry can't remember which one). Charges vary from 90 for Nationwide to a hefty 295 for A&L.
