Statuary paid holidays

Hi,
I just came to the following website and it says that the minimum statuary paid holidays for people working full 5 days is 4.8 weeks which is 24 days.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Employees/Timeoffandholidays/DG_10029788
In my company we still have 20 paid holidays. We do get all the bank holidays though. Can i ask HR why they have not increased it from 20 to 24. Do i have right to ask it and can they get away with it.
thanks.

They can deduct the 8 bank holidays from the 24, so you get 16 days plus 8 BHs.
You're not entitled to 24 plus BHs.
With 20 plus BHs you're getting more than the entitlement.0
