Speed up soaking pulses

Does anyone know the turbo charged way of preparing pulses so you don,t need to soak them overnight???

    Bring to the boil and leave to soak for an hour.

    Sorry, that link may not have taken you to the right page - Go to the section down the left hand side "How to soak beans"

    Boil beans in water for 3 minutes in a heavy pot.
    Cover and set aside for 2 hours.
    Drain and discard the water and rinse beans

    If you have a pressure cooker they are great for cooking beans.

    I have usually found an hour is adequate. :)
  • Nice stainless steel pressure cookers were at Lidl's for £19.99 just before xmas they may still have some. They are standard size so the usual gaskets for stainless steel pressure cookers fit these if you are daft enough to put the lid down and the cooker top and then light the gas. icon8.gif
