Mamma Mia dvd, best price yet?......Woo Hoo £7

Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert

There seems to be a price war on the newly released Mamma Mia DVD, likely to be a favourite Christmas stocking filler. This week, Asda is selling the new Mamma Mia DVD for £7. The press office has confirmed that the offer's nationwide and will run until this Sunday (30 Nov).

Alternatively, if it's sold out at your nearest store at £7, Tesco online is selling it for £7.99 including delivery. If for some reason you can't get it there, it's currently £9.90 at Woolworths yet use its openly available voucher in the Shopping Deals note to get 10% off and it'll cost £8.91.

Fab, my friend absolutely loves this film, went to the cinema 5xs to see it (she did, not I did, I'm not that mad lol). Might just have to go in her girly night in hamper.
    Thanks

It is very unusual for a film to be released on DVD a day after it as finished at the cinema. Some places are doing 2 for 1's this Sunday at participating Cinemas.

It's quite likely that it will be that price, I also work there and it's the staff special discount day on tuesday and one of the things we've been told that we can't have the special discount off is the mamma mia dvd. So they must be doing it at a good price.

Are they opening the stores special then? Most 24hour stores don't open until 8am on a Monday morning, so this would mean them opening 8 hours early to sell the DVD? Is this confirmed before I call in after my shift work to buy a copy?

But the film does seem to have been at the pictures a really long time. much longer than films usually are.

On a different note... my local 8 screen cinema is only showing the new film 'The Changling' on Wed & Thurs at 1.15, 5.30 & 8.00pm! I find this rather odd for a well advertised new film when you get Mamma Mia on since the summer!

We will get the usual 10% off though won't we? I'm not even sure if I'll get anything off at all because we were burgled at home and my purse was one of the things stolen. A new discount card is on order but they supposidly come from America.
