Bump!
Has nobody spotted any bargains out there?0 -
I know, I do have a DVD player, but also have a lot of videos that I would still like to watch, and my VCR has died a death, not entirely unrelated to the incident involving my DD pushing lego into it!0

My bfs video recorder conked out about a month ago and he has been unable to get a new one and some of the second hand ones cost more than a new dvd player!2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Yes, unfortunatley, that's what I've found so far. Also a lot of VCR/DVD combi's for sale which I don't want.0

my vhs died last month. cause - pesky kids. the cheapest vhs player i could find was around £45ish. Since i have a dvd player and a dvd recorder and an expensive vhs recorder which is out of bounds to the kids i simply recorded the vhs tapes onto dvd.
on the plus side is the space available when you sell off the vhs tapes.Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

martin dawes sell ex rental ones still (i think), some supermarkets do them for about 35 quid(?) currys/dixons made a big thing about stopping selling them, but i am certain most other major electrical stores still sell them.things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then

Hi there,
I don't know where you live, but I got mine from a little independent shop called Albany Radios, Hertford, Herts. I think that they may also have a branch in Enfield.0 -
I saw a JVC in Watford Branch of Comet, I think that was about £50-60. Does not appear on the website. My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
