Woolworths Kid's clothing (50% off + 3 for 2 + 20% off)

I posted this on the Woolworths 10%-20% off thread but thought it probably warranted a separate thread to avoid getting lost.

Was in Woolies this morning to use the vouchers and realized that a significant amount of the clothing is half price AND 3 for 2 AND now 20% off during the present promotion (+ if you are an American Express card holder and had the vouchers recently you should be able to get a further £10 back through reclaim if you spend over £40).

Woolies clothing is not to everyone's taste and only goes up to about 11/12 but seemed to me a good time to stock up.

  • I am an Amex holder but haven't heard anything about the £10, do you have a link to further info? Thanks

  • It was a perforated sheet with 10 separate offer coupons which I assumed had gone out to all Amex card holders as we're nothing special.
    1. £10 Sainsburys gift card when you spend £70 (can't remember dates but something like 1 Nov to 24 Dec. There was a limit of something like first 5000 applications.)
    2. £10 Debenhams gift card when you spend £75 (22 Nov-6 Dec)
    3. £5 off when you spend £25 online at Waterstones (1 Nov - 31 Dec)
    4. Introductory 15% discount at L'Occitane (1 Nov - 30 Dec)
    5. 20% discount when you spend £50 at M&Co (1 Nov - 30 Nov)
    6. 15% discount at Jaeger (1 Nov - 24 Dec)
    7. Unlimited track downloads until 31/12 when you take a Nokia 5310 on 12 month contract from Carphone Warehouse (1 Nov - 31 Dec)
    8. 10% discount at Heals (1 Nov - 12 Dec)
    9. £10 gift card when you spend any amount in Selfridges (1 Dec - 31 Dec)

+ Woolworths offer was £10 giftcard on a £40 spend. First 2000 cardholders. Dates I think were 1 Nov - 24 Dec but sent coupon in with claim even though not strictly necessary. All that was required was to send name/address and receipt to:
    Freepost RRZB-KBLZ-EKRY
    Amex offer A01
    MBA House
    German Road
    London N17 0HW.

Sainsburys and Woolworths offers are send in with receipt.
Debenhams and Selfridges require you to present the coupon instore.
Carphone Warehouse requires you to ring 0800 049 4045.
The others require using promotional codes online (which I can post if anyone is interested) or presenting the coupon instore - except for Jaeger which seems to suggest you just use your card to pay and get the discount.

All offers do of course require you to pay using your Amex card.

    HTH.
  • Can I send a photocopy of my receipt? I'm just a bit worried incase it doesn't work, I then cannot swap for a working item etc!

You could try sending a photocopy. All coupon asked for was the receipt.

I took the other line and kept a photocopy especially as Woolworths and not Amex are administering the scheme. Reasoned I could argue that they had the original receipt but then I spent only just over the £40 threshold on many small value items of clothing, chocolates and kitchen utensils so considered it a risk worth taking.
