Literally for ten minutes just now it said in stock...

No idea if i got in there quick enough etc but the order is placed... Fingers crossed.

Just come in stock at Play. Seems to have been in and out of stock all day - obviously no guarantee that you will get it but worth a shot.

my Play.com order status has changed from 'processing' last night to 'out of stock' this evening, was shown as 'in stock' when i purchased it!

I highly suspect that a good proportion of the UK stock of this game is sat in an EUK (woolworths game distribution arm) warehouse somewhere, and for one reason or another they are unable to move them.

The EUK effect has already effected online retailers (see zavvi's homepage for their statement).

Its my hypothesis that the big boys take orders from ctomers just ahead of their stock arriving, so they turn it over quickly, keeping down their footprint and their cost of stock. All makes sense. All works fine until their scheduled supply fails to turn up on th day. The have to quickly back-pedal and cancel orders, and take no more.

Having been watching this title closely for a few weeks, and having had to order 4 to get one, I have noticed something else too. Yesterday and earlier today many of the big boys (I wont name them, but can) were expecting stocks on the 8th December, but the status of this changed this afternoon and now they don't know when stock will arrive.

First thing today gamestation said they would fulfill my order by the end of the week, If I'm right this will get cancelled too.

All opinion and speculation, of course.
