Hull shopping: Kingswood retail park whats the shops
Anyone no what shops Kingswood retail park Hull has? Had a look on google but can only find the odd shop/cinema not a list. I never been shopping in Hull before and as we have ordered something in Argos shop on reserve,as this is the nearest place that has this item. I am considering if its worth the trip as I dont want to make a special trip so would make a good half day of it. Shopping isnt my idea of fun, so other half doenst want to go unless its worth the trip.
Thanks very much

Not too sure what's in Kingswood but think it's a retail park not that far from the city centre which has excellent shopping facilities in two city centre shopping centres plus a TJ Hughes -I love that shop for a bargain!0

Kingswood retail park has :-
Asda, Matalan, Boots, Holiday hypermarket, Brantano, Next, Sports soccer, Comet and Argos.
Across a main road is Frankie and Bennys, Macdonalds, Cineworld and Hollywood bowl.0 -
I thinks its just off the Beverley Road which I past down a few time as my daughter has to now go to hospital there. I normally go to York Monks cross or Clifton Moor but none of these stores sell the item I want. I dont want to make a special trip but as we dont go out much I thought I make a day of it and treat kids.
Yes it isnt far from the centre from what I can make out with maps, but cant find a list of shops anywhere, unlike Monks cross at York whcih we know well.
Never been to TJ Hughes at Hull but past it just before Christmas as its near the hosiptal, large department store on lhs beofre turning off to Infirmary.
So TJ Hughes is good shop then? is it same company that is hughes direct by chance?0 -
Are Matalan is good, thanksully we have one in our town now, which was just built last Summer.
Next would be good for kids, never herad of Holiday hypermarket though. Asda we might pop in for grub. Does it have clothes by chance, as the one in York Monks Cross is great.
Thanks for all the help guys.thriftee wrote:Kingswood retail park has :-

Asda doesn't have much in the way of food, only a small Mcdonalds inside, but it has a huge clothes department upstairs.
Which direction are you coming in?
TJ hughes is in the town centre (next to another Argos) sells clothes, toiletries, household items.0 -
Thanks thriftee I be coming in from Driffield way I have seen T J Hughes on lhs passing through on way to royal informary.0

I assume you do mean kingsWOOD and not kingSTON? (as you are talking about argos i assume you do mean kingswood).
Argos, asda (with McD's, decent large George clothing section), holiday hypermarket, big boots, electrical shop(currys/comet can;t remember which) nearby a frankie&benny's, UCG cinema. Haven't been for a while though.
I think in an earlier post you thought it was near the city centre. I suppose it's all relative but it's actually on the outskirts of Hull. Takes forever to get from Kingswood retail park, down Bev road and into the city centre. It is a fair way away from the city centre.
Please tell me they have sorted the cr@ppy one way system round the centre out that was in operation while they were mending Myton bridge....? Have avoided Hull since that was in operation....0 -
Hi Imf rom Hull but i rarely go to Kingswood. The bridge is nowf ully operational but i think the one way system remains as they found traffic flow much better. Kingswood is some distance on the outskirts but if coming from Driffield there will be no problems with traffic"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

Thanks for your help guys. I think Kingswood is closest to where I am coming from. I have decided to cancel going now as it just isnt worth me taking a trip to pick up a small item and other half doesn't want to go.
Shame I couldnt get it next week as I have to go through to take my eldest daughter for a scan.
I have to pop in if I have time next week I was planning to have a look around teh retail parks just before Christmas, but your at beck and call with hospistals and a simpy Xray took hours.0
