I absolutely do not want to increase the term no no no!

It was originally over 8 years - OH gave me a right ear bashing earlier on when I told him, for me being a muppet at taking it out over such a long term, but at the time it was what they offered with the lowest monthly repayments that me and the ex could afford.

Having said that, I'm now 4 years in, older and wiser (oh god I hope so!:o) and have somehow managed to keep up the repayments even through the ex leaving, working as a single parent to two young DDs in a low-paying job, then getting made redundant and still somehow managing. Thus I have behind me as I said an excellent repayment record and hope to use this as leverage to drop the interest rate.

If anyone has anything else at all that might be useful to be aware of when I do speak to them I would find it really helpful - I don't want to think I've got a great deal then realise after they've fleeced me in some way!
