  • The sofa, this will have to go too, but don't worry they won't take it back.

Where will it go then if they won't take it back? And the thing is I don't actually have the sofa in my possession. My ex has it and god knows what condition it's in...

If it gets left in the house when it's repo'ed it will get chucked out before they sell it. unless your ex takes it with?

  • So if the ex takes it with him (which i'm sure he will) they won't chase him down to claim it back?? (Not that I care, just interested! Sorry I'm trying to understand everything properly)

Also, I wonder if you could advise me on an IPA...would I get one of these? I've been reading the forum and have seen these pop up a few times. I assume this is a payment to the OR? Does this stop once discharged?

If he takes the sofa he can keep it, they won't chase him.

As for an IPA, that will depend on how much disposable income there is left after all your living expenses have been taken into account. The OR will take a percentage if you have a surplus over £99, starting at 50% and rising to 70%. If you put up your income and expenditure we can help with the figures you need to put on your forms. The idea is that you should put the maximum amounts for all expenses as once you're BR you won't be able to get credit if anything unexpected happens.

If you search this forum for posts with SoA in, it will give you an idea of the things you can include.

  • Thanks again, I did an SOA and have listed under my thread 'Confused about IPA'...I'm still none the wiser! And I've searched the forum time and time again but cannot get answers to my questions. I just want to know that my partner won't get dragged into this as none of it has anything to do with him.
