Income changing - where do I stand?

Hi - any advice would be welcome please.:o

Currently with CCCS for a debts totalling over £50,000. However, my financial situation may be changing due to me having to change jobs and may have to accept a lower salary. My budget is very very tight and I only just managed to get accepted onto a DMP with CCCS. If new salary kicks in, after having met all essential outgoings, there may hardly be any over to pay DMP.

If I have a review with CCCS and they agree there is nothing over for a DMP that would be accpetable to my creditors, where does that leave me?

Do I then have to contact them all and advise I will be paying them but a MUCH smaller amount? Although they are accepting my current payments, I'm not sure they would be willing to accept less.

The thought of having to deal with them again makes me feel so stressed.

  • Thanks tirlittan - assume everyone elsewhere today - if someone can help I would be very grateful.

Would prefer to call CCCS with some knowledge of what to expect so if anyone else has been through something similar - please help me. Thanks.
  • Hi Katymags

It may mean looking at options other than a DMP. You could see if your creditors would accept token payments of £1 a month until your situation improves. I would speak to the CCCS as soon as possible to see what they suggest.

    Good luck
