Stir-up Sunday

Just a reminder to everyone that this Sunday the 23rd November is Stir-up Sunday, the day when traditionally you make your Christmas puds.
So called because in the Anglican prayer book the collect for the Sunday before Advent Sunday is
Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people; that they, plenteously bringing forth the fruit of good works, may of thee be plenteously rewarded; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
I shall be making mine on Sunday complete with a sixpence;)
