Can anyone direct me to a thread which explains in really basic english what the difference is with all these different PS3
Youngest wants one for Xmas, and I thought, well at least it saves me having to buy a blue-ray player, but I checked on Pricerunner, and Play.com have loads of different ones.
I know different bundles have different games etc on offer, but even if I knew just about what console and accessories to get.
I gather the original smaller memory one which could play the PS2 games is no longer made by Sony, so virtually unavailable in this country......but what is the difference with all the other ones ?

Hi,

I'm also looking for the best PS3 deal, but dont have a quidco account, and am not an RAC member.

The 2 best deals I can find are this one from Play for £299 (which has 2 games, but only 1 controller) or the argos deal which as far as I can tell gives you 1 game but 2 controllers and a few exrta bits in the mega pack and can be collected today for the same price.

Has anyone spotted any better deals?

Past years experiences with the Xbox360 and Wii suggest they wont be any cheaper, as they want to entice you to get the console (which often sells at a loss or minimal profit) so they can sell you lots of games for your shiny new toy.

Hi Thanks for spotting that deal, but it looks like it only works when you do it with the Littlebigplanet console pack add the extra games and enter the code, but that console pack is out of stock at the moment. Unless I didn't enter it correctly on Amazon?

The LittleBigPlanet console pack is a pre-order, to be released on 28th November.

I already ordered this deal from Amazon, and received the first item (the blu-ray disc) this afternoon. The cable and other 2 games have been dispatched, and the console will apparently be sent as soon as it is released.

I went into my local woolworths on friday and bought a 3 for 2 on sweets and recieved a 10% friends and family voucher as i wentoutside the store there was a noticeboard stating 10% off any console.
