Debenhams & Nectar

Apologies for the long post. I've read that Debenhams will part with Nectar card in the near future (which is why they don't ask for your card now) but anyone know when? I bought a skirt there today and handed my Nectar card and CC over as normal. I'm sure she put the Nectar card through but when I got home and checked the receipt, I hadn't received the points. A similar thing happened to a lady before me, the sales assistant seemed to forget to swipe the card and the customer asked if she'd put it thorugh and was told that she'd do it after the transaction was done. So I'm wondering whether Debenhams staff are now just ignoring the card altogether unless you check or the tills have just don't take them? I hate missing out on points when shopping =(

I know the feeling; hate missing out on offers too. I bought a tin of biscuits today and the points are listed on the receipt, as expected. This was in the Oxford St store in London. Didn't have to remind the salesperson to swipe the card.

PS: if anyone is looking for a cheap item to purchase to receive the 1000 extra nectar points that came with a recent nectar balance, there are tins of Walkers shortbread for £2.97 after discount. Almost like being paid to take them away.
  • im annoyed that i dont get these nectar offers sent to me anymore - are they online too ?
Also previous posts (sorry i couldn't find the link) I noticed that you used to get 500 nectar point or so for making a purchase over x amount, on a recent nectar online balance this wasnt the case. annoying
