hi all,
i am going br in a weeks time does my partners income expenditure get looked into or do i just compile a list of expenditure which i contribute to/bills etc just my half of things ?
Also do you have to prove that i seeked legal advice about going br as i read somewhere this can be declined by judge and i would lose the br filing fee.?
many thanks
regards

Hi OOC,
When you fill in the forms you put the total of all household expenses plus your own personal expenses. Then you just put the amount your OH contributes to the household expenses, not their whole income. If your OH is not going BR they OR will not ask any questions about your OH's income or what they do with the rest of their money.
The judge might ask if you've sought advice, but would not usually ask for proof. It would be difficult to prove anyway if you sought advice by phone. Not all judges ask.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
