These sales make me laugh.

My mum used to be in the gift and tableware business and was told my a rep from a large, well renowned china company, that a lot of the dinner services sold by Harrods in their January Sales at mega % off, have been manufactured especially for the sale, to be sold at that price.

See, there is no such thing as a free lunch, but you may have some nice new tableware to eat it off, even if you think you have saved zillions of %. ;D

As for me, only wish I could afford to shop in Harrods, etc. Doesn't mean to say I would though. Once an MSE, always an MSE..........

True! But look at the street cred. you get when your Harrodds delivery arrives. Surely there is someone you know who might fancy a jar of quail eggs?

I was almost tempted, but with £5 delivery they become very expensive Quails Eggs!

Forget picked quail eggs - try the chippy down the road - they do much larger pickled eggs for about 25p each!!!

Here's my Harrods Bargain Story,

I have only been once. I had a friend and her mother visiting one summer and I was between contracts so I took them to Hyde park and we had to go to Harrods.

They went to see the womens clothes and the oturageous sale price watches (half price down from £120k to only 60K bargain!).

And her mother wanted to see the Dodi and Di memorial down on the LG floor. (tacky)

The LG florr happens to be the menswear dept. I saw the sale rack so I thought I would have a look. There was this ice pair of trousers there and I looked at the size (it was an italian size - not even metric or imperial) When I saw the price tag I thought why not.

They fit - so I bought my Helmut Langs Trousers. As she was packing them my sales assistant was removing the tag. I asked to keep it as a souveneir. Its not often you get a harrods tag marked down to £59 FROM £649!!!!!!!!!!
