Littlewoods passing debt to different DCAs

Please can someone tell me the best way to deal with this:
I originally asked Littlewoods Flexible Account to send me a CCA. They sent me what I thought was a signed CCA but at the same time they passed on my debt to Moorcroft. Moorcroft started harrassing me to make larger payments but I carried on with the same amounts I had been paying Littlewoods and Moorcroft continued to pester me for more money and threatening me with court action etc etc . I then decided to send a request to Moorcroft for a CCA but then I received a letter today from Littlewoods Direct with the exact same thing that they originally sent me the first time round...but it looks more like an application form to me. It even says at the top 'Index Flexible Account Instant Credit Application Form. and further down there is wording on it which reads 'On signing the agreement you understand that this application is subject to acceptance' etc etc. It also states at the bottom of the form that the card I applied for would expire in November 2001. I have not been sent any further documents since this one which was signed in 1999.
It does also say 'credit agreement regulated by the consumer credit act 1974 - with shopping mail Ltd' and then further down where I have signed and dated it it says 'this is a credit agreement regulated by the consumr credit act 1974. Sign it only of you want to be legally bound by its terms'
The letter I have received from Littlewoods Direct (even though it was moorcroft I sent the CCA request to) along with this photocopy of what looks like an application form, says that my account has now been reassigned to another DCA called Phoenix Recoveries and that notification of the assignment will be given to me by letter and all further communications and payments should be sent to Phoenix Recoveries.
What I would like to know is can Littlewoods actually assign a debt to another DCA like this without actually sending me a true copy of a CCA, and if it WAS a true copy of one then why are they just constantly passing my debt to lots of different DCA's?
Who should I contact next? Do I write back to Littlewoods, or do I just send yet another CCA request with yet another pound postal order to Phoenix Recoveries when they write to me? It is costing me a fortune sending all these pounds plus the cost of the recorded delivery postage etc and I just need to know if there is any way at all that I can stop all of this happening without the account just being passed back and forth between different DCA's and the original creditor.
I still think it's very strange how Moorcroft have suddenly sent it back to Littlewoods and they havenow moved it onto a different DCA.
Please can anyone help and advise me on the best plan of action now?
PS Can I also add that when I sent the CCA request to Moorcroft that was on 22nd October and I received nothing back from them up until today when i received this letter and signed form from Littlewoods Direct, so does that mean that Moorcroft actually defaulted and that the debt should not have even been passed back to Littlewoods?
I am just getting totally confused now :-(

Sorry, I also forgot to ask, do I need to write to Littlewoods telling them that I think they have sent me an application form and not an actual credit agreement

It sounds to me like they sent you a copy of your signed credit agreement as you requested.
The debt has been sold to Phoenix and they have informed you of that.
So you now need an arrangement with Phoenix to pay off the debt in affordable instalments.
Have I misunderstood your post? Apologies if I have cos it's a bit late in the day!

Thanks for that but I'm still confused as to why it says Index Flexible Account Instant Credit Application Form?
Can a credit agreement be part of an application form?
Also if it is a correct agreement does it not affect things with the card expiry date being 2001? Does the agreement only cover things until this date? Should I have had an up to date agreement to sign with any new cards?
Sorry for so many questions but as I said earlier I am totally confused with it now.0
