  • good find, but i have to be honest...the stuff is rubbish!! (in my opinion!) my son got some for his 4th birthday - along with half his nursery friends, and none of them played with it more than twice!! playdoh is much better! i know kids are going mad for the stuff tho! (looks better on telly than in real life)

This is on my daughters xmas list, i'm a bit concerned about choccyfaces comment, does anyone else think this stuff is not worth it?
  • yup...bought some for my son and he played with it for about 40 seconds, before deciding that he wanted to go back on the wii and continue to pop balloons on the brain training thing.

    not money well spent.
    Hating Hastings Direct!
  • Bought the sand castle set and 2 extra tubs at a local bootsale for £4 two weeks ago, my son hasn't be away from it snce, he's 4 1/2 and a real boys boy. I suppose it depend on the child. I'll definitly be looking for more but waiting for Boots 75% cos last yar they had loads of toys down aswell as the gift stuff
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:
  • my daughter got it for her birthday, she's 4, it went EVERYWHERE, spent more time clearing it up than she did playing with it .
:A I WILL NOT USE MY SWITCH CARD:A
  • I think it's a good toy, but usually quite expensive for what it is.

My Boys enjoyed playing with this (6 and 3) but they made a HUGE mess! Sand all over the Kitchen!:rolleyes:, lol. My mistake for leaving them alone in the Kitchen for 5 mins!

Santa won't be bringing them any more Moonsand this year

Agree with zippy bungle and mykidsmum. My four year old got this for christmas last year, he really liked it, until his one year old brother got in on the act and they decided to throw it everywhere. Swept it up and put it back a couple of dozen times before deciding thats it and hoovering it up.
  • must admit mine enjoy there sandpit in the garden more :o
  • fantastic looking..yes,but a bloody nightmare to clear up.

bought last xmas for two boys age 3..6..,they did love it.
However it isnt as good as the adverts make out.
It doesnt stay seperated from each colour..as it gives the impression on the telly.
After the first day you might as well have bought one massive tub of grey sand, cus there just aint no reconising the beautiful colours they started with.

We bought the castle..playground..various cars people ect spent a fortune.
This brings me bk to the begining..

Picture it..Two lads started arguing over who was using what, went out of room, came bk only mins later to find the bloody front room covered in moonsand.
It blocked the hoover(it never did recover)..and killed my bk,first trying to scoop most of it up,gave up and prob spent months later finding little tiny specs of the thing...

So take it from me..one child who you supervise closely will get hours of enjoyment from this.
two kids or more...forget it,it isnt worth ruining your xmas for.

Ohhh if any one wants a carrier bag full of the accesssories, them just pm me and ill post off,ill pay poastage,,my xmas pressie to a fellow mse. ACCESSORIES NOW TAKEN.
