it was quick wasn't it!
I thought as i was on a roll i'd get it done, to be honest i didn't expect them to still be open. He said we should get our cards and pin within next 5-7 days!! woo hoo! :j :j
now all i have to do is set up direct debits and next friday on pay day i will have to withdraw all our money and then put it in the post office. isn't it wonderful! :rotfl:0 -
Not that this will help me.....but if you are BR and before discharge of the BR would you be able to add yourself as a joint account holder on an acc of someone who isnt BR? If so would you have to declare your BR to that bank before being accepted?0

If it is not the Co-op or Barclays then I am pretty sure that a joint account would be frozen or withdrawn, someone will correct me if I am wrong. If you have a joint account now and one of you is going BR then it is best to get the BR person removed.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Tiger do you mean once the bank realise that they have unwittingly added an undischarged BR to the account.......or do you mean that if say 3 months into BR someone was kind enough to add you to their account the OR would freeze it. Not that I have ever added myself to anything or have a prospect of it I didn't think the process was quite the same as opening a new account and therefore wondered if you were obligated to volunteer this info to a bank if being added to an acount or just only answer the question if asked by the instution concerned at the time of being added.0

If you are on a joint account before BR then the BANK will freeze the account. If you try to be added after BR then the application will be refused as you are BR. Sorry wasn't clear last night.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Abbey no longer give accounts to BR's unfortunatly. If you have one up and running in good order for several years before BR they may lat you keep it, but that is not a definate.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
I think you may have been overlooked draytonled. When did you go BR?
