We obviously need a calculator telling us when we get the TV licence/free passport etc etc since all these dates are way in the future!0 -
We were aware of these rules, but what I'm not sure about is whether I'll get additional pension for my wife for the five years when I am over pension age and she is under. (She will qualify for the full pension once she gets to 65)
This page indicates I might get something, but either I'm being dense, or it's not very clear. Any advice would be welcome."The trouble with quotations on the Internet is that you never know whether they are genuine" - Charles Dickens0 -

Not sure what you mean here. If your wife will qualify for a full pension in her own right then your pension and any additional you have doesn't come into the equation. She would only rely on your contribution record if she doesn't qualify for 60% of a full state pension in her own right.
If you are talking about the years before she reaches her state pension age of 65 then she is regarded as of working age and can register for JSA if fit to work or apply for benefits if she is not able to work. Past 60 she can apply for pension credit.0
