I think they may have gone now, as when I check dates they are all no good. The moral of the story is, I guess, that as with the Hoxton offer, these things are only as reliable as the technology serving them, and persistence is sometimes rewarded. :rolleyes:
Thanks to the OP- I got 4 for Thursday 11th. Brilliant.

How did you know about it - did you just click on the show and go through all the dates and saw one at 10p or was it advertised

from my complaint to lastminute:

I am annoyed that this promotion appears to have been opened early. I logged on at 2 minutes before 10 am on the date specified and all free tickets had already gone. This leads me to suspect that certain individuals were provided with the knowledge that this would be the case and doesn't seem fair.

And their reply:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your feedback regarding our Sound of Music ticket give away. Customer feedback is extremely important to us as we constantly strive to deliver a better service for our customers.

This offer has been extremely popular and we experienced significant traffic to our site in demand for the free tickets. Unfortunately due to this high demand all these deals have now gone.

The promotion its self went on sale at 10am, before this time it may have shown sold out as the link was not yet activated.

We would like to apologise for any problems that you may have encountered when attempting to book online today and hope that you will be able to participate in our fantastic offers in the future.

The above implies that a sold out message may have been displayed before the promotion started - surely this is misleading? (don't believe it though.)

Did anybody actually get any free tickets?

Yes someone on the other thread did.


They were available at about 10:20 . I clicked on it then got a page up saying I just had to pay £0.00 for them , then when I clicked buy my screen timed out then they were all gone .

I got some- I had been refreshiong the page every now and then as I passed the computer and struck lucky at about 10 22. I didn't believe they had gone early as some people thought- it didn't look right and these things are more likely to go late than early imo.
It reminds me of the Hoxton offer, though not quite as traumatic- if you keep on trying sometimes you are just lucky and get through at the right time. Thanks to the op and others who mentioned the banner, which I had not seen originally.

I bought 2 tickets for sound of music for £24 including booking fee - not free - ut not bad either as I got Thursday 4th Dec.

I managed to get some free :j but at about 10.20am! my laptop crashed so went to use another computer and luckily it worked on that one! Got tickets for my friend's birthday - so she'll be happy too
