Hi All
I have had a problem with corking up my wine, I have bought a corking device (£15) which is alot easier than the hand pump as it has a leaver on it but my corks are not going in all the way.
I am new to this so hope somebody will help me solve this problem
many thanks:beer:

Don't put so much wine into the bottle
You can compress the air gap slightly, but if there isn't enough, you'll have to compress the liquid, which is much more difficult
Which sort of corking device do you use
We have a 2-piece wooden one, and you do hit one piece with a mallet :rotfl:
I'll add this to the wine making thread later.

Do you soak corks in hot water first? I found this helps as well as steraliseWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0
