I did think of it but am wary as don't want to remove glue but ruin the screen! IYSWIM
Is there anything in it that could damage the camera screen?
Also wondered if vegetable oil (ie cooking oil) would be ok?
Any camera buffs out there that can advise please?
PS I phoned and asked if anywhere local had any to go and swap but was told that they are only available in Scotland now! HTH0 -

I'm not a camera buff - but a good tip for removing labels is to heat them. It loosens the glue - I use a hairdryer and it's great for removing stubborn labels from gifts before wrapping.0 -

Did they happen to tell you where in Scotland?
I've been to the Glasgow branches and nothings reduced!
I'd agree with the poster that said to use heat to remove your glue... i'd then try a tiny bit of fairy liquid straight on the glue and a cloth you use to clean glasses to remove it!!0 -
no sorry! didn't ask but I am sure if you ring your local store and ask them to look it up, they will tell you where they have stock. But double check by calling the store first before you trek anywhere as they may not be able (or want:rolleyes: ) to locate them!

Just to let you all know - Lakeland's Sticky Stuff remover worked its magic and screen is all clear! :j  _party_
I was bit nervous as haven't used the stuff for a while and really didn't want to make it worse, but it worked like a dream! Am very happy now that didn't check in store as would not have bought it if had seen the screen! Will have to stash somewhere safe now for dds xmas pressie! :xmassign: :snow_laug :xmastree: :santa2:
Sainsbury did offer me a refund and a £5 goodwill voucher :T but as I would have had to waste another day getting there and back as well as petrol just to get refund, I thought I'd try a little corner first in case it did come off and wasn't hiding anything worse!0
