PS If you did get an interest free credit card then you must cut up all your store cards... it really takes the most will power in the world! I literally avoid shops these daysDebt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270

That's enough to have one of your store cards paid off in full if you add that on to the payment you are already making.
Have a look on the Up Your Income thread for ideas to increase your income, which is tiny. A second job in a bar or in a shop - particularly in the run up to Christmas will help you knock more off your debt.
I can't take on a second job i think i might have to leave my current job as i can't work 14 hours a week and get college work done0 -
well (as a serial dieter
) only buy what you need from ebay. 1 stone is around 1 dress size so even 1 dress size reduction 'shop' from ebay for a core wardrobe should do you for a couple of months. a couple of skirts, couple of tops, jeans and trousers should set you back no more than £15 at the most.
Unfortunately, working and being a student often go hand in hand, I found working as a temp in an office the best income generator when I was at uni because it was easier to get the hours that suited me. AQA take on students and you can work whenever you like. See http:www.63336.com for vacancies - it changes fairly frequently for UK recruitment. You will need to have excellent English writing skills (grammar, style, content) and be good at researching online."Stay Wonky":D

Thanks, think i'll give the skirts a miss though

to be honest - if you really knuckled down and pulled the belt in really tightly, you could have the debt cleared by next summer. It will be hard work but will be worth it.
Use the freebies board for bits and pieces (shampoo and moisturiser is often available), voucher board for Christmas presents (set yourself a limit of , say £5-£10 per person and get creative!). Pity you can't get rid of your phone and just get a PAYG really standard handset, but that's something to aim for as soon as it's possible.
How much do you have saved in your 'presents' pot? Are you spending that every month on a present for someone or is it savings for Christmas?"Stay Wonky":D

Can I ask how old you are? Your wage still seems very low for 14 hours! I think Burlesque Babe could be right in suggesting office temping - you would tend to get a bit more money and wouldn't need any qualifications.Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270

I haven't been saving money for Christmas, i've just been buying bits and pieces, so far i think i've spent about £200 on pressents, and still have a few more things to get for my mum, bother, sister and boyfriend.0 -
My entire present budget is £100 for Mom, Dad, 2 Sisters +BIL, BF, 3 Grandparents and 5 friends.
The money is spent now but it's worth looking at the vouchers/special freebies with magazines etc offers for presents!!
I think it'll be worth keeping a spending diary - is your SOA what you actually spend or what you hope to spend? I think if you stick to your above budget, maybe consider getting a better paid job then the debt will fall quickly!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
