I can't really help with DMP's as my creditors refused mine :( .. but that was before I found this site and I did try it on my own with no knowledge of what I should be doing!!

Just wanted to pop back to say good luck, hope it works out for you :)

Just one thing I noticed (yep i'm still here :D) .. are you living alone? Do you get the single persons discount for council tax?

I know some people don't know about this and can make a bit of a difference!

Did you apply for single person's discount?

have look here as well http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/protect/make-money

Looking at your SOA, your phone and mobile costs are high as is your contents insurance. Cut back your deals, use the comparision sites to find the cheapest deals and then sign up with the cashback sites like www.quidco.com.

Also sign up for www.freecycle.org - like e-bay but free.

Check your getting your single persons allowance on your council tax.

Gas and electric are high - check you're turning everything off and check you're on the cheapest tarrif/with the right supplier.

Mobile phone is high - go PAYG or knock your contract down.

Contents insurance is high - check what you're getting and shop around for a cheaper policy when it's up for renewal.

Also check the entitled too website (someone will give you the link I'm sure) and check you're getting all the benefits you should be.

Well, this isn't anywhere near as bad as you feared - you only need to find 50p a month to be repaying the minimum on all your debts each month, and I assure you you can easily find that! :)

I suggest you start keeping a spending diary - I'm not in debt, but I have a custom spreadsheet I use to keep track of EVERYTHING I spend, as it keeps me from frittering money away and helps me save up for home improvements.

*hugs* Sleep easier, em - you can beat this!
