YES loans BE WARNED OF THE SCAM

Please be very carefull of cold calls on the phone by loan companys.
Like most familys we have a loan through our bank, Wednesday 12/11/08 my wife recieved a call from YES loans telling her she could reduce her existing loan by 100 pound a month, at a lower intrest rate. She got onto the net and checked they were real. ( Just wish she checked more of the links ) They called her back and verbally took all her details and said she was accepted, Thats when it started, Lots of calls from other loan companies, Lots of horror stories on google, and to top it off she paid them 49.50 on her debit card to proccess the application. ( if only she told me this at the time ). Turns out there a broker and not a loan company after all. They have said on the phone a letter has to be written to them asking for the 49.50 back which may take three months, I quickly got her off the phone as I noticed there number is an 0871 costing 30 pence a minute, ( 16 mins worth ).
We have contacted trading standards today and have written the letter to ask for the money back, even though trading standards say we may never get it back. PLEASE BE WARNED NOT TO TAKE THERE CALL.

• noticed people on here complaining about high call charges have had the same hassle from this company as well , there are means (being polite) of saving money by using certain websites so to save you all some hard earned money the freephone number for them is 0800141141 hope this helps to dent the profits from these crafty people !!
• To be honest anyone who deals wtih YES Loans needs their head read.

If you google YES Loans you'll get 5 lines from their own site and then about 10m forums posts telling you what a bunch on con artists they are etc.....

An Example:

These b@stards want shooting, I nearly got stung from them for a tidy £60 fee until I realisied that they were a scam pot, I will happily shake the hand of anybody who causes this company some sever financial loss or even bans them from ever trading again!

• I used yes loans about 6 months ago wanting aloan before starting to look into dmps, i cancelled in e-mail, on the phone and in letter but they still took my broker fee. when i called up in tears to say i wasnt able to pay it, i was told to look for extra work, i asked what extra work i could get as a disabled full time mother, they told me to give out leaflets or "summat", in the end they said i had to wait then write again to claim it back, i wrote in and they said well...we found loans for me. even thoguh i repeatedly told them, no secured and no cash like provident or greenwoods or anything like that. they said they counted and hung up. any chance of my fee back anyone think?
• i have just become another victim of the yes loans rip off scam,i hav just basically been ripped of this morning by a bunch of con artists to the tune of £69 admin charges, i asked them why i had to pay the fee and as she nicely sweet talked me, she said i would hav to in order to process the loan, still said i was unsure she then said if i change my mind within a day or so i would get an immeadiate refund back to my card,so i then went ahead but within 30 mins i rang them back changing my mind, spoke to a very arrogant nathan, who when i said i didnt hav a lot of money, basically said more fool me for paying it! how rude!! he said i will now hav to wait 28 days for my money but after reading this website it doesnt look like ill get it, i am so annoyed, but worringly they hav all my debit card bank details will they take more?:mad::mad:

I was also a victim - I paid on my Visa Credit card and because it was Visa Credit I was entitled to dispute the transaction with my card provider and they refunded me within a few days, if you paid it on your debit card and as long as it is a Visa Debit you can request a "charge back" in order to get your money back.
I wish you the best of luck.

im going to the tv programme watchdog about this company and their sister company beneficial claims ill let you know
• Well its not a scam
They just prey on the stupid and greedy.

They could reduce your monthly loan payment. It isnt hard. You just end up paying it over a longer time at a higher rate.
