Advice needed- in a bit of a pickle...

As you can see from my signature I have a reasonable amount of debt, which I have stupidly added to over the last few months. During these months I also spent my savings which was supposed to be going to pay a chunk off of our mortgage when we renew in early April next year. The amount I am supposed to have by then is £800 (we have £10,000 all together, most was an inheritance).

Basically, I told my boyfriend I would have the £800 by then, I was considering getting a small loan, but today I realised that applying for more credit so close to renewing could affect the deal we can get (if there are any to be had!) and I don't really want to add to my debt but i don't see any other way!

I may be able to get £400-£500 together by April, but not the full amount, and then I won't be able to overpay my credit cards like I want to. So, you see, a bit of a pickle.

Any advice? Inspiration? Anything....I feel like I'm going in circles!

    Have a look here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/protect/make-money

Also post up your SOA as there may be ways of re-arranging your finances to make them go further.

And sign up to the cash-back sites if you are re-newing any contracts.

Thanks! Gonna look into one of those 'answer questions by text' jobs. I'm on the internet most nights anyway so no real hardship to google something for some one! :)

Hi Without seeing your SOA there isn't much advice peole can give. Basically the advice would be to cut spending on the wants and just pay the needs. Needs are things like mortgage/ rent, utilities, food, transport to work. Wants are socialising, entertainment, clothing and treats.
Then you also could look at increasing your income, there is a great thread about this on the boards.

Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)
