We were searching out the xbox offer y/day on the argos website. Our local stores were all out of stock so we looked further afield to see if any of the stores that were open late had any. My partner checked our local stores again later (about 6pm) and they all had stock in
when I rang cust services to complain they said the warehouse must have just had a delivery in.
Hmmmmm bit convienient don't you think? This same thing happened when we were looking for a tv

Maybe it's stock being put back into the system that had been reserved until close of business but not collected?0

It will have been reserved stock not collected. I have had it happen with non offer items too.0

didn't think of that could well be a posibility thanks!0

most stores at this time of year will have 2 deliveries in a day, my local one has them at 3pm and 7pm. It takes then a couple of hours for them to show on the system also.0

reservations go back into stock when the stores stock system close down at close of the store.thats why they suddenly appear when store closed.people reserve stuff and dont pick it up all the time, even the real bargains like the ipod touch.sooooo frustrating !!best time to try and reserve online is ten mins or so after store closes!0

When shops take in a delivery the delvery has to be chacked and signed off and then inputed on a computer system. Most shops like to wait until after closing before they do it, thats probally why.
I have had trouble with stock issues in the past but understand why when I see how busy Argos is.
What I did was I kept phoning there ring and reserve line until it came in then reserved it so I could collect it. It saved a lot of hassel in the long rung and still meant I got what I wanted. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0
