scotcall/barclaycard just called round!!

oh my god just had visit from some idiot fromm scotcall didnt actually think it would happen!owe barclaycard about 950 and theyve passed this to mercers and we had letter from scotcall last week saying to pay arrears withhin 7 days or there may be a visit,after reading all your helpful advice i was actually calm at door not a nervous wreck like i thought id be!explained we were setting up dmp with cccs ,he then phoned through to barclaycard who noted this down and he left,quite pleaseant i actually laughed telling him how much of a waste of time this was for him which he agreed!dmp payments start in january do you think i wont hear now from them?

    You will still hear from them . Have they got your phone number ? If they phone do not confirm any security details , just say you do not deal with financial matters on the phone . Have you recieved a notice of assignment confirming this DCA has the authority to collect on the debt ?
  • oh god, I would have been so scared!!
    I had a letter from HSBC yesterday refusing the reduced payments and it was quite horrible! That alone was upsetting for me, so really feel for you! Well done for being so brave!
  • just had letter last week from scotcall saying to conatct barclaycard to arrange payment or expect visit in 7 days.dont think they are collecting the money as they put me through to barclaycard when he was stood on doorstep who said theyd note it all down about cccs.i gave phone number as he said he needed it to close case but to be honest i dont care about them riniging its the turning up on doorstep.

    that happened to me as well some gimp claiming to be on behalf of barclaycard came out, he was "politely" told to shove of or the dog would have him lol

    These people have no legal right to do anything at all.

    They will try to sight assets, e.g. car and verify if you're the debtor in question.

    Other than that, it might as well be Jehovas calling round.
