welcome finance help
first time i'veposted on the site, I'm having a few probs with welcome, I've lost my job, I phoned them to tell them I've financial problems, theyre refusing to freeze the interest at branch level, or anythin apart from charging me £25 for bringing me letters........
has anybody got any advice how to freeze the interest of charges?
I've been in touch with a few companies and they seem very helpful, just lots of paperwork. welcome arent!!!
has anybody else had anything usefull of them? any advice how to deal with them?
thanks alot dave

Usual questions
Did you use a broker?
How much did you borrow?
when did you take it out?
did you include ppi?
armed with this info I can advise you how best to deal with then.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -
it was for £5000
no ppi
i used them direct
for the first year it was fine, i then went to half pay, like an idiot i agreed to re-do the loan, this time for 10%apr the cheapest they do, since only gettting £75 a week benefits now, i phoned them to ask what to do, all they said is a half payment this month and can i sell anything....
is there anything i can do they claim they didnt receive the letter i sent them
thanks dave0 -
Hi Dave,
I cant really give you any advice, but just wanted to say I have been through (and still ongoing) the same thing with Welcome. I went onto Maternity Leave and they reduced my payments but I have now found that they have charged me a massive amount of interest and charges. Not sure if does include this period as I am currently looking into it.
All I can say is they have been so unhelpfull with me so dont expect anything more from Welcome. But I do hope someone on here can help you and all the best.
