Hi, while some people on this board might be able to help (unfortunately I can't), you may find this forum more suitable for your post:

You could actually physically go to the Job Centre rather than calling.
Good on you for trying to update your skills - I do see how difficult it must be with salon requirements. But if I were you I'd advertise myself in the local shop's window to do home hairdressing. You've a valuable skill there already. You'd have to register as self-employed but I'm sure you'd get a lot of business from people looking to save money by avoiding salon prices. A friend of mine started in that way and now is renting her own salon and employing other staff. She fits her hours around her family. Just takes a bit of effort. Good luck!0 -
many thanks in advance0

Many thanks Jancee
i could go to the job centre but at present i have Pluricy so its a bit tough right now...
yes i did think of doing home hairdressing and i really dont mind all the effort it takes, i am a worker when im given the chance and i will certainly be looking into self employment stuff more deeply..inface i think its best i go see a personal advisor maybe when im well enough but many thanks for your help :rolleyes:0 -

I trust the  smiley at the end was a mistake?
Are you registering as fit for work and claiming Job Seekers Allowance? If so you can inform them you are ill with pleurisy and submit the equivalent of a sick note. HTH. :rolleyes:0 -
Jancee
why would the smiley be a mistake?
why do you write with such a tone is your answers..
i am not being rude to you and i feel that you seem to want to get into some sort of battle over just asking some adivce.if this is what this site is like your very much welcome to it..

I'm happy to leave this to other MSE contributors to decide any rights or wrongs. I've done my best to give advice, is all.0

Hello ladyluvs and welcome to the forum.
Sorry I can't be much help with your problem but I think there's been a misunderstanding in regards to the usage of smiley faces! I don't think Jancee was being rude to you, I think she was generally trying to help. I think we've all at some point misunderstood something somebody has wrote online.
I've always found this site very helpful and no doubt someone will be able to advise you on your situation, especially in the morning so don't give up.
Good luck!0 -
Personally, I can't see any harshness in any of the responses! If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0
