Can anyone recommend some bike lights? My brother in law wants some 'bright' ones for his bike  and we haven't a clue.
My sister in law gave us this website http://www.wiggle.co.uk/c/Cycle/7/Lights_-_Sets/
but any suggestions welcome!

I've got these Smart Lights very bright and lightweight. There is a rear light as well. All in various sizes. Can't remember how much I paid at our local independent bike shop.0

One of my brothers got me Cat Eye HL-EL520 from eBay which are quite pricey if purchased direct from a renowned website/store, they cost about £30+ although you could pay about £19 at eBay. I also purchased a Blackburn Mars 3.0 Rear 7 LED rear light from Chain Reaction which is now £1 cheaper than what I got it for. I highly recommend both these lights. I can’t see any buy it now’s in the UK on eBay for the Cat Eye at the moment though.
If you don’t mind paying the full amount make sure you shop around for the best prices. And don't forget possible CashBack.0 -
Cateye definately worth the money. LD610 on the rear are the brightest ive seen out, and you can get those for about £15. Blackbrun Mars are similar in brightness and price but ugly IMO
the EL135 or EL530 are good front lights, but have to say that the Smart Lights mentioned above are only really good as additional lights, no good on there own if you need to be seen. I have two lights on the back and a 190lumen torch on the front but still get missed on the road somehow!?
Don't scrimp, or you may not get seen :A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. TheRev is right about scrimping; always remember safety first when cycling.
However, the Blackburn Mars 3.0 may not be a very attractive light but it does have side LED's which provide 180 degree safety-boosting visibility, one of the reasons I bought it.0 -
Knog make good additional lights too, and reasonably priced.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Good choice, I’m sure he’ll like ‘em! These should give all-round visibility.
Well done!0 -
