  • on the car front, its a company car, so no other costs

    Would your company offer a car allowance instead saving ALOT of tax and car allowance on top giving you more money every month. Yes you would have to buy and run a car but doesn't need to be too expensive and the company would pay you mileage on top. Might be worth looking at the figures for comparison purposes as company cars are not the perk they were.

    If not an option then the fuel benefit part of the company car can be expensive if you do not do many private miles, if you pay for private mileage then you do not pay for the fuel benfit in your tax.

  • Might not want to but do you have a family member that could assist you as this is obviously causing distress. A proper agreement could be drawn up with interest payable if required, even if it just enough to consolidate the high APR debt.
